REPUBLIC DAY, 2023
74th Republic Day was celebrated on January 26th, 2023 at BLDE Deemed to be University premises, in the morning at 8.30 am in front of the university building. All the students, teaching, and non-teaching staff gathered for the same. Dr. R.V. Kulkarni, Registrar, Welcomed the gathering. At 8.30 am Dr.R.S.Mudhol, Honorable Vice-chancellor hoisted the flag and addressed the gathering, and released the university Calendar, Diary, and Calendar events of 2023. Dr.Mahadevi Wali, Assistant Director, Department of Sports anchored the programe and proposed the vote of thanks. The Department of Sports and Physical Education coordinated the programme.

The first national festival of the year 2023 Makar Sankranti was celebrated on 14/1/2023 on the University premises between 6.30 PM to 8.00 PM.

The university always encourages sports activities for its students. Interphase sports activities and sending various sports teams to inter medical college tournaments outside the premises are the significant activities in shaping the currier of the students. University has outdoor and indoor facilities for Men and Women.
Achievements & AWARDS
Student achievement measures the amount of academic content a student learns in a determined amount of time. Each grade level has learning goals or instructional standards that educators are required to teach.

BLDE DU proudly presents the Social outreach activities done by the student volunteer group.
For 60 days, one hour each day, a team of 12 members with the help of many who worked behind the scene, packed close to 2500 packets and served the hungry before we went to bed. We experienced God in the form of food and in the smile on the faces of the hungry when their hunger was satisfied. As it is said in the scriptures.

Activities in the year 2019-20
During the year 2019-20 in the month of August-2019 inter-phase sports activities were started. Till now Cricket, Football, Volleyball, Basketball, Kabaddi, Kho-Kho, Football, Badminton and Table tennis events for students has been successfully conducted in Men and Women categories separately. In athletics 1500 metres run, Shot Put, Discuss throw and Javelin throw events were conducted successfully.
Awards and Achievements in 2020
Our students participated in 7th BLDE Association’s inter school and College athletic meet which was held on 31st January 2020. In this meet our Men relay team secured bronze medal in 4×100 metres relay event in Degree college boys section. Team members list is as follows

Ishan of 2nd year secured fourth place in Men’s 1500 meters run and Bhagyashri B G of 3rd year secured fourth place in women’s 1500 mtrs run,
