“Skill Development Program (SDP)” - Feb 2024
To raise the consciousness of Soft Skills among non-teaching staff members (exclusively only SDAs) at the workplace, a Skill Development Program (SDP) was organized by IQAC on 23rd January 2024, Tuesday at the Academic Council hall of the University Administrative building. There were Forty-Three participants in the Skill Development Program. Dr. Lata Mullur, IQAC Director, welcomed the participants and highlighted the need for Skill Development Programs. Dr. Siddaling Talikoti, being the resource person for the technical session, emphasized on the following contents,
1. What are Soft Skills?
2. The benefits of Soft Skills in the workplace.
3. How do soft skills work?
4. Types of Soft Skills with illustrations.
5. Terminating elements of soft skills?
6. Q & A session.
“Move on the LEAP (Learn, Educate, Achieve, Prosper)” - Feb 2024
To enhance the professional development of faculty members and to foster a culture of continuous learning and improvement, on the eve of Leap Year Day dated 29th February 2024, Thursday, The Faculty Development Program (FDP) with the theme “Move on the LEAP (Learn, Educate, Achieve, Prosper)” was organized by the Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC) of BLDE (Deemed to be University)
Professional Development Program (PDP) on Telephone Etiquettes - Feb 2024
To enhance proficiency and to raise the Professionalism Quotient among non-teaching staff members, the Professional Development Program (PDP) on Telephone Etiquettes was organized on 26 th February 2024 Monday at the Academic Council hall of the University administrative building. There were Thirty-one participants in the Professional Development Program.
Dr. Lata Mullur, IQAC Director, welcomed the participants and highlighted the need for Professional Development Programs. Dr. Siddaling Talikoti, being the resource person for the technical session, emphasized on the following contents,
1. Developing a comprehensive understanding of telephone etiquette.
2. Enhance effective communication skills over the phone.
3. Cultivate professionalism and courtesy in phone interactions.
4. Improve listening skills and the ability to convey information.
5. Q & A session.
Road Safety Week - Jan 2024
To enhance the consciousness of Road safety among our students and staff, the IQAC of BLDE (Deemed to be University) executed a one-week Safety Awareness Program (SAP) with the theme “Zero Harm & Be a Hero” on the occasion of National Road Safety Week intending to provide road safety information for our students from 11th Jan to 17th Jan 2024. Flyers were created and displayed on the visual display boards across the campus premises.

National Unity Day 2023
National Unity Day (राष्ट्रीय एकता दिवस) is celebrated in India on 31st October. It was introduced by the Government of India in 2014. The day is celebrated to mark the birth anniversary of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel who had a major role in the political integration of India. The official statement for National Unity Day by the Home Ministry of India cites that the National Unity Day “Will provide an opportunity to re-affirm the inherent strength and resilience of our nation to withstand the actual and potential threats to the unity,integrity, and security of our country.” On this day, a pledge-taking ceremony was organized for the staff members and students of MBBS & Allied Health Science courses (all disciplines) of BLDE(DU). The staff members and more than 200 students have pledged in front of the University & entrance lobby of the Shri. B. M. Patil Medical College.
