Instituional Development Plan - 2025
In an era of rapid technological advancement, socio-economic transformation, and evolving educational paradigms, education institutions must adopt a forward thinking approach to ensure sustained growth, relevance, and excellence. Hence, the IQAC of BLDE(DU) organized the Workshop & Interactive session on the Institution Development Plan (IDP) on 17th March 2025, Monday, at the Academic Council Hall of the University building. The University administrative authorities, HODs, HOI & the Principals of the sister concern institution of BLDE Association Degree colleges participated in this workshop.
Prof. Dr. Y. M. Jayaraj, Hon’ble Pro-Chancellor of BLDE(DU), was the resource person. This workshop served as a comprehensive blueprint outlining strategic initiatives to enhance the institution’s academic, infrastructural, administrative, and research capabilities.The workshop followed a consultative and participatory approach,
ensuring inclusivity and responsiveness to the needs of all stakeholders.After the technical session, Prof. Dr. R. S. Mudhol, Hon’ble Vice-Chancellor of BLDE(DU), emphasized in the his presidential remarks that the Institution Development Plan is committed to progressive change, resilience, and a future-ready academic ecosystem that contributes meaningfully to advancing education, research, and community engagement. Dr. Lata Mullur, Director IQAC, BLDE(DU), coordinated & executed the workshop.

🧘♀️ Yoga for Women and Girls: Relaxation and rejuvenation took center stage with a mindful yoga session, promoting physical and mental well-being.
🎬 Movie Screening – Laapata Ladies: An engaging cinematic experience brought laughter, reflection, and camaraderie among faculty and staff.

Career Opportunities for Medical Graduates - 2025
The Career Counseling Cell of BLDE(DU) organized a Career Talk on the topic “Career Opportunities for Medical Graduates in Civil Services” on 8th March 2025, Saturday. This program aimed at guiding interns and outgoing undergraduate students (2021 batch) about diverse career options beyond clinical practice. The session sought to enlighten attendees on how medical professionals can contribute significantly to society through administrative roles in civil services.
The session was graced by esteemed speaker, Smt. Sadhana Ashok Pote, Joint Director, Administrative Training Institute Mysore. Dr. Ashwini Nuchhi proposed a welcome speech and introduced the resource person to the gathering. Smt. 🌍🧹 Swachhata Hi Seva 2024 🧹🌍
A step towards a cleaner and greener India, inspired by Mahatma Gandhi’s vision of Swachh Bharat.BLDE (Deemed to be University) proudly participated in the Swachhata Hi Seva 2024 initiative, held from 17th September to 2nd October 2024. This campaign, emphasizing “Swabhav Swachhata, Sanskaar Swachhata,” focused on instilling the values of cleanliness and sustainability in every citizen.
In honor of Mahatma Gandhi, who championed cleanliness as a core value, the university community united to clean public spaces, spread awareness, and promote recycling practices. Faculty, staff, and students actively engaged in various cleanliness drives, highlighting their commitment to a sustainable future for India. Together, we can make a difference! 🌱

Anti Ragging Day 2024
The anti-ragging committee had organized an awareness talk on ragging for the students of School of Physiotherapy of BLDE Deemed to be University, Vijayapura. The program was organized on 13th August 2024 between 10:00 a.m. To 11:00 a.m. In the lecture hall number one. Dr. Hemanth Kumar Lecturer welcomed the gathering. Dr Anand P. Ambali, Dean Student Affairs and Nodal Officer for anti-ragging committee discussed issues concerned to ragging and the punishment that is that is mentioned by UGC guidelines. A video regarding ragging released by UGC was shown to all the participants Dr. Basavaraj G. Chandu, Principal of School of Physiotherapy presided over the function and informed the students to follow discipline in campus. A total of 32 students attended the program.

Vruksha Bandhan
Vruksha Bandhan is an environmental green initiative promoting the importance of trees and ecological balance. This unique event induces inspiration from the traditional Indian festival of Raksha Bandhan, where siblings tie a sacred thread, or “Rakhi,” symbolizing protection and care. Accordingly, in Vruksha Bandhan, the concept is extended to trees, symbolizing the commitment to protect and nurture them. On the occasion of Raksha Bandhan, dated 19th August 2024, the NSS Unit &
IQAC jointly celebrated Vruksha Bandhan from 11.00 am onwards. The staff members & students of BLDE (DU) celebrated Vruksha Bandhan by tying a Rakhi to trees. The
event raised and strengthened the familial bond with green family members. By linking the protection of trees with the emotional significance of Raksha Bandhan, the event has successfully inspired individuals to take tangible steps toward preserving the natural world for future generations. Drawing Competition - World No Tobacco Day
On the eve of World No-Tobacco Day dated 31st May 2024, a drawing competition was organized by the Department of Cardiac Care Technology in the Anatomy Gallery hall of Shri. B. M. Patil, Medical College Hospital and Research Centre. The theme for World No-Tobacco Day 2024 is “Protecting children from tobacco industry interference”. The event aimed to raise awareness about the harmful effects of tobacco use and promote a tobacco-free lifestyle, especially among children and young adults. Mr. Akshay Hiremath was the event coordinator and fourteen students participated in the event with enthusiasm and drew beautifully conveying important messages about the importance of saying no to tobacco and embracing a healthier way of life. The judges of the competition were Dr. Jyothi Patil & Dr. Ashwini Nuchhi.

Catalyst - What Next?
To make aware of the various career opportunities that exist beyond clinical practice and to introduce a wide range of options such as specializing in different medical fields, coupled with guiding the educational and professional paths that align with their aspirations, a unique event Catalyst – What Next? was organized for the interns (MBBS – 2018 Batch students) by the Career Counselling Cell of BLDE(Deemed to be University), Vijayapura on 28th March 2024 at Lecture Hall, 4th Floor of Skill lab from 10.00 am onwards. The event was planned well considering the vital vitamins needed for an Intern to prosper in his/her future endeavors. The event was lined up with seven interactive sessions & discussions from intellectuals across the country who have excelled in the field of Medicine.

“Skill Development Program (SDP)” - Feb 2024
To raise the consciousness of Soft Skills among non-teaching staff members (exclusively only SDAs) at the workplace, a Skill Development Program (SDP) was organized by IQAC on 23rd January 2024, Tuesday at the Academic Council hall of the University Administrative building. There were Forty-Three participants in the Skill Development Program. Dr. Lata Mullur, IQAC Director, welcomed the participants and highlighted the need for Skill Development Programs. Dr. Siddaling Talikoti, being the resource person for the technical session, emphasized on the following contents,
