Har Ghar Tiranga Campaign Events 2025
As part of the Har Ghar Tiranga campaign, BLDE (Deemed to be University) organized a series
of events from 11th to 13th August 2025, aimed at fostering unity, patriotism, and cultural pride
among students and staff.
Tiranga Rally – Unity in Motion
On 11th August 2025 at 9:15 AM, BLDE (Deemed to be University) proudly organised the
Tiranga Rally – Har Ghar Tiranga Campaign, which was flagged off by Hon’ble Pro
Chancellor Dr. Y. M. Jayaraj.
The rally commenced from the University Building and passed through BLDE Solapur Main
Gate – Lingada Gudi Road – Sanganabasva Kalyan Mantap – BLDE Super Specialty Hospital –
BLDE Hospital – NRI Hostel, before concluding back at the University at 10:15 AM, followed
by a warm high tea.
More than 250 students and 120 staff members from all constituent colleges participated
enthusiastically:
• Shri B. M. Patil Medical College, Hospital & Research Centre
• School of Physiotherapy
• School of Science & Technology
• School of Allied Health Sciences
• School of Law
The event painted the streets of Vijayapura in the colours of the Tiranga and strengthened the
spirit of unity, patriotism, and community awareness among the residents.
This initiative was carried out in line with the directions of the Ministry of Education,
Department of Higher Education, regarding the commencement of the Har Ghar Tiranga
(HGT) campaign under the aegis of Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav, as guided by the National
Implementation Committee.
Rangoli Competition
A Rangoli Competition was organized on 12th August 2025 at the Physiology Quadrangle
from 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM.
A total of 120 students participated and showcased their creativity through vibrant and artistic
rangoli designs, reflecting themes of unity, patriotism, and cultural heritage. The event
highlighted the artistic talents of the participants and created a festive atmosphere on the
campus.
The competition concluded with the selection of winners, and certificates were presented to
them in recognition of their commendable efforts.
Rakhi Making Competition
A Rakhi Making Competition was conducted on 13th August 2025 at the Physiology
Quadrangle from 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM.
A total of 80 students participated and displayed their skills by designing innovative and
beautiful rakhis, symbolizing the bond of love, unity, and tradition. The competition provided a
platform for students to express their creativity while also promoting cultural values.
The competition concluded with the selection of winners, and certificates were presented to
them in recognition of their commendable efforts.
Through the Tiranga Rally, Rangoli Competition, and Rakhi Making Competition, BLDE
(Deemed to be University) successfully celebrated the Har Ghar Tiranga campaign, fostering
national pride, creativity, and community spirit among students and staff
79th Independence Day Celebrations
On 15th August 2025, the 79th Independence Day was celebrated at BLDE (Deemed to be University), Vijayapura.
The programme began with a welcome address by Dr. R. V. Kulkarni, Registrar. The Pro-Chancellor, Dr. Y. M. Jayaraj, hoisted the National Flag and, in his address, stated:
“Today we are celebrating the 79th Independence Day. It is our duty to remember the brave freedom fighters who fought for India’s independence. The sacrifices and struggles of great leaders who fought against British rule have given us the opportunity to live in a free India. On this day, along with remembering their sacrifices, we must also pledge to eliminate corruption, poverty, and unemployment from our society.”
As part of the celebration, awards were distributed to postgraduate and medical students as well as faculty members for their achievements in various fields.
Workshop & Interactive session on Institutional Development Plan
The IQAC of BLDE(DU) organized the Workshop & Interactive session on the Institution Development Plan (IDP) on 17th March 2025, Monday, at the Academic Council Hall of the University building. The University administrative authorities, HODs, HOI & the Principals of the sister concern institution of BLDE Association Degree colleges participated in this workshop.
Prof. Dr. Y. M. Jayaraj, Hon’ble Pro-Chancellor of BLDE(DU), was the resource person.
After the technical session, Prof. Dr. R. S. Mudhol, Hon’ble Vice-Chancellor of BLDE(DU), emphasized in the his presidential remarks that the Institution Development Plan is committed to progressive change, resilience, and a future-ready academic ecosystem that contributes meaningfully to advancing education, research, and community engagement. Dr. Lata Mullur, Director IQAC, BLDE(DU), coordinated & executed the workshop.

This International Women’s Day, BLDE (Deemed to be University) proudly honored the resilience, achievements, and spirit of women through a series of empowering events.🚴♀️ Pedaling Towards Empowerment: Faculty, students, and staff joined hands for the Cyclothon – Pink Sundays on Cycles to promote fitness and unity.
📢 Inspiring Talks: From understanding “The Power of Food” to discussions on “Beating Breast Cancer”, we embraced knowledge and awareness for healthier living.
🧘♀️ Yoga for Women and Girls: Relaxation and rejuvenation took center stage with a mindful yoga session, promoting physical and mental well-being.
🎬 Movie Screening – Laapata Ladies: An engaging cinematic experience brought laughter, reflection, and camaraderie among faculty and staff.

Career Opportunities for Medical Graduates - 2025
The Career Counseling Cell of BLDE(DU) organized a Career Talk on the topic “Career Opportunities for Medical Graduates in Civil Services” on 8th March 2025, Saturday. This program aimed at guiding interns and outgoing undergraduate students (2021 batch) about diverse career options beyond clinical practice. The session sought to enlighten attendees on how medical professionals can contribute significantly to society through administrative roles in civil services.
The session was graced by esteemed speaker, Smt. Sadhana Ashok Pote, Joint Director, Administrative Training Institute Mysore. Dr. Ashwini Nuchhi proposed a welcome speech and introduced the resource person to the gathering. Smt. Sadhana being an experienced trainer and a career counselor, in her session shared her experiences and insights into how a medical degree can be leveraged in administrative roles- Click here to download the report

🌍🧹 Swachhata Hi Seva 2024 🧹🌍
A step towards a cleaner and greener India, inspired by Mahatma Gandhi’s vision of Swachh Bharat.BLDE (Deemed to be University) proudly participated in the Swachhata Hi Seva 2024 initiative, held from 17th September to 2nd October 2024. This campaign, emphasizing “Swabhav Swachhata, Sanskaar Swachhata,” focused on instilling the values of cleanliness and sustainability in every citizen.
In honor of Mahatma Gandhi, who championed cleanliness as a core value, the university community united to clean public spaces, spread awareness, and promote recycling practices. Faculty, staff, and students actively engaged in various cleanliness drives, highlighting their commitment to a sustainable future for India. Together, we can make a difference! 🌱
