Prof. (Dr.) R. S. Mudhol a well-known ENT surgeon and popular teacher. He completed his MBBS & MS-ENT degree from KMC, Hubli. With a vast experience of 35 years in various capabilities as Professor, Head of the Department, Vice Principal, Medical Superintendent, Director Hospital Administration and Dean, Faculty of Medicine. He has 52 publications at his credit published in national & international journals with high impact factor, contributed 2 books chapters also he is peer reviewer of reputed ENT journals. He served as a President & Secretary of ENT Association of Karnataka and Member of Governing Body of All India Association. He contributed a lot to higher education institutes as Board of Studies Chairman, Member of Board of Management, Planning and Monitoring Board, Academic Council of KLE / BLDE Universities. He is also a Ph. D. guide supervising 8 students registered of which 6 students have awarded the degree. He has attended and presented many papers in various National / International Conferences. Organized the CME/Workshops/ Faculty Development Programmes.
He has received many awards such as Teacher of Teachers, Best Teacher Award, Gold medal for best research paper presentation at National level conference. He was felicitated by KLE Society on its 102nd Foundation Day for exemplary work for organizing health check-up camps wherein more than one lakh people were benefited. He received Fellowship in Otology from New York University and Minnasota University, USA.
At his credit area lot of Academic collaborations with national and international institutions like Causse Ear Clinic, Beziers, France, Vijay ENT Care hospital, Bangalore, MIMER Institute, Pune etc. He was External Expert Member on Board of Studies various Universities like Goa University, Goa, RGUHS, Bengaluru and KIMS, Karad. He is a Member of International Otology Network, France. He served as a Subject Expert on Selection Committee of Goa Public Service Commission.
Recently, he has joined BLDE (Deemed to be University) as Pro Vice-Chancellor. Presently, holding the charge of Vice-Chancellor.
