BLDE (Deemed to be University) offers full-time/part-time Ph.D. Programme in the Faculty of Medicine, Faculty of Allied Health Science & Faculty of Science & Technology.
BLDE (Deemed to be University) aiming to provide an outstanding environment for brilliance in Research & Development in the Medical and Allied Health Sciences field in the most backward part of the Karnataka state, and offers doctoral study programs in 21 disciplines in the following programmes.
I. Faculty of Medicine:
Anatomy, Physiology, Biochemistry, Pathology, Microbiology, Pharmacology, Forensic Medicine & Toxicology, Community Medicine, General Medicine, General Surgery, Obstetrics and Gynecology, Orthopedics, Otorhinolaryngology (ENT), Pediatrics, Dermatology, Anaesthesiology, Psychiatry.
II. Faculty of Allied Health Sciences:
Life Science (Biochemistry/ Cell Genetics/ Microbiology/ Molecular Biology/ Molecular Genetics), Medical Laboratory Science (Cytotechnology/ Forensic Science Technology/ Histotechnology/ Hemato Technology/ Medical Lab Technology), Nutrition Science (Dietics/ Clinical Diatics/ Food Service Dietics/ Public Health Nutrition/ Sports Nutrition), Community Care (Community Health/ Environmental Health), Behavioral Health Science (Psychology/ Behavior Health, Mental Health)
III. Faculty of Science & Technology:
Biochemistry, Microbiology, Biotechnology, Library & Information Science
Entrance Test: BLDE (DU) Entrance Test will provide a gateway to Full Ph.D. programs in the Faculties of Medicine, Allied Health Sciences, and Science & Technology for eligible candidates. Applications are invited for Provisional Registration in two sessions during an academic year i.e. January & June of every year.

The Selection will be made on the merit basis of marks secured in the BLDE (DU) All India Entrance Examination and Personal interview.
