As a part of the Pre-Placement activity, the placement cell of BLDE(DU) organized Workshop on Facing Interviews for students of Physiotherapy Course 2022 batch, 8th Semester on 3rd September 2026 at Lecture Hall no1, School of Physiotherapy. The workshop was designed to equip students with the knowledge, confidence, communication skills, and professional etiquette required to face job interviews effectively. The resource person Dr. Siddaling Talikoti explained the significance of adequate preparation before appearing for an interview and emphasized the importance of confidence, clarity, professionalism, and positive attitude. The session covered various aspects of interview preparation, including self-introduction, understanding the job profile, researching the organization, answering common interview questions, communication skills, professional etiquette, and body language. Students were guided on how to respond appropriately to frequently asked questions such as “Tell me about yourself,” “What are your strengths and weaknesses?” “Why should we hire you?” and questions related to their academic background, skills, career goals, and professional interests. Special emphasis was given to non-verbal communication, including eye contact, posture, facial expressions, gestures, listening skills, and appropriate professional attire. The resource person also discussed common mistakes candidates should avoid during interviews, such as lack of preparation, inappropriate body language, unclear responses, excessive nervousness, and failure to demonstrate knowledge about the organization. Students were encouraged to ask questions, share their concerns, and seek guidance on handling challenging interview situations.
