With the objective of training students with the essential skills required to prepare an effective and professional resume, a workshop on “Designing Resume / Resume Writing” was organized for the Physiotherapy students of 2022 batch, 8th Semester by BLDE(DU)’s Placement Cell of on 18th August 2026. The session aimed to enhance students’ employability by guiding them on how to present their academic achievements, skills, and experiences in a concise and impactful manner. Dr. Siddaling Talikoti, the resource person highlighted the importance of a well-structured resume in today’s competitive job market. During the session, sir also explained the key components of a resume, including the objective statement, educational qualifications, work experience, skills, achievements, and references. Students were guided on how to tailor their resumes according to job descriptions and industry expectations. The difference between a resume and a curriculum vitae (CV) was also clarified. Interactive activities such as live resume critique, sample resume analysis, and hands-on drafting exercises were conducted, enabling participants to apply the tips shared during the session. Dr. Siddaling also shared common mistakes to avoid and best practices for online resume submission and LinkedIn profile building. The workshop concluded with Q&A session, where students clarified their queries about resume formatting, highlighting strengths, and presenting extracurricular achievements. The workshop was well-received by the students and helped students to gain confidence in preparing their resumes professionally.
