The BLDE(DU)’s Career Counselling Cell organised a Career Building Talk on the topic “Future Opportunities for Microbiology & Biotechnology Students” on Thursday 10th September 2026 for the Post Graduate students of the School of Applied Science & Technology (all batches).
Dr. G. S. Kadakol Co-ordinator Department of Biotechnology and Microbiology introduced the resource person Mr. Aravind Kori, PG Alumnus of the School of Applied Science & Technology–2023 Batch, who is currently working as an Executive in the Microbiology Department at Cronus Pharma, Hyderabad, catering to the US market.
The resource person shared valuable insights into the career opportunities and emerging prospects in Microbiology and Biotechnology, particularly in the pharmaceutical and allied industries. He highlighted the importance of developing technical knowledge, practical laboratory skills, analytical abilities, communication skills and industry-oriented competencies for building a successful career. Being an alumnus of the School, Mr. Aravind Kori also shared his academic and professional journey, providing students with practical guidance and motivation.
An interactive session was conducted where students discussed various career pathways, industry requirements and opportunities for professional growth. The programme helped students gain greater awareness of career opportunities, industry expectations and the skills required for employability and career advancement in the fields of Microbiology and Biotechnology.
The session was informative and beneficial in guiding students towards informed career planning and professional development. Dr. Supriya Bhosle Assistant Professor, concluded the programme by proposing vote of thanks. Dr. Prachi Parvatikar Assistant Professor and all the research scholars’ were also present. The entire event was co-ordinated by Dr. Girish Kadakol.
