The Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC), BLDE (Deemed to be University), Vijayapura, organized a workshop on “Enhancing Academic Quality through Student-Centric Teaching-Learning, Outcome Assessment, Mentoring and Curriculum Feedback” on 17th September 2026 at the AHS Lecture Hall No I.

The workshop aimed to strengthen institutional practices related to student-centric teaching-learning, outcome assessment, mentoring, and structured curriculum feedback in accordance with NAAC quality benchmarks.

The sessions were delivered by the following resource persons:

  1. Strengthening Student-Centric Teaching-Learning: Enrolment, Diversity and Mentoring by Sumangala Patil, Director, IQAC.
  2. Advancing Academic Excellence through Effective Evaluation, Learning Outcomes and Student Feedback by Manjula, Deputy Co-ordinator, IQAC.
  3. Structured Feedback on Curricula/Syllabi from Various Stakeholders by Lata Mullur, External Advisory Member, IQAC.

The workshop provided valuable insights into enhancing academic quality through effective teaching-learning practices, evaluation processes, mentoring, and stakeholder feedback. The sessions were highly interactive, with active participation and meaningful discussions between the resource persons and participants. As part of the session on structured feedback, Dr. Lata Mullur conducted a short and engaging hands-on activity, which encouraged active participation and helped reinforce the importance of effective feedback in an interactive manner.

Conclusion: The workshop was successfully conducted with the active participation of 33 faculty members and representatives from the School of Law, School of Allied Health Sciences, School of Physiotherapy, and School of Science and Technology. The programme facilitated meaningful interaction and enhanced awareness of quality-oriented academic practices, thereby contributing to the University’s ongoing efforts towards continuous quality enhancement.
