As a part of the Pre-Placement activity, the placement cell of BLDE(DU) organized Workshop on Time Management for students of Physiotherapy Course 2022 batch, 8th Semester on 2nd September 2026 at Lecture Hall no1, School of Physiotherapy. The workshop was designed to help students to equip students with essential time-management skills required for effectively balancing academic responsibilities, professional commitments, and personal priorities. The resource person Dr. Siddaling Talikoti highlighted the significance of time management in achieving personal, academic, and professional goals. The session focused on various practical aspects of managing time effectively, including goal setting, prioritization of tasks, scheduling, planning, setting deadlines, avoiding procrastination, and managing distractions. Students were introduced to techniques for distinguishing between urgent and important tasks and were encouraged to prepare realistic daily and weekly schedules. The resource person also discussed common barriers to effective time management, such as procrastination, excessive use of social media and digital devices, lack of planning, multitasking, and poor prioritization. Practical methods for overcoming these challenges were explained through examples and interactive activities. The Workshop on Time Management successfully provided students with valuable knowledge and practical skills essential for professional success. The programme contributed to the development of students’ employability skills by strengthening their ability to plan, prioritize, organize, and complete tasks within stipulated timelines. The workshop was therefore a meaningful component of the pre-placement training initiative and supported the overall objective of preparing students for a successful transition from academic life to the professional environment.
