Research Reimagined: Methodology, AI Tools, and Evidence-Based Scholarship

The Department of Paediatrics, BLDE (Deemed to be University), actively participated in the One-Day Workshop on “Research Reimagined: Methodology, AI Tools, and Evidence-Based Scholarship”, organized by the Central Library and Department of Library and Information Science, BLDE (Deemed to be University), Vijayapura, as part of the National Librarians Day Celebration 2026 on 14 August 2026.

Held from 10:00 AM to 5:00 PM at the Pharmacology Computer Lab, the workshop focused on contemporary research methodology, emerging Artificial Intelligence (AI) tools, literature exploration, information analysis, effective research practices, and evidence-based scholarly practices. The sessions emphasized practical applications of emerging technologies in research and scholarly communication.

Dr. Sunil M. V., Assistant Professor – Systems & General Management, SDM Institute for Management Development (SDMIMD), Mysuru, served as the Resource Person and delivered an informative and interactive session covering research methodology, AI tools, literature exploration, information analysis, and evidence-based scholarship.

The programme was attended by 40 participants, including Library and Information Science students, Ph.D. research scholars, faculty members, librarians, and library professionals from institutions across Vijayapura District. Participants actively engaged in the sessions and gained valuable insights into the use of emerging technologies in research and academic activities.

As part of the celebration, the Central Library presented Best Library User Awards to recognize outstanding users for their regular and effective utilization of library resources and services. The awardees were Mr. Smithoon V. T. (UG Medical), Dr. S. Shyam (PG), and Ms. Anjali Bijjaragi (Allied Health Sciences).

The programme was coordinated by Dr. Prasanna Kumar B. M., University Librarian and Assistant Professor, BLDE (Deemed to be University), along with his team. The workshop provided a valuable platform for academic learning, professional development, and knowledge sharing, reinforcing the institution’s commitment to strengthening research capabilities and promoting evidence-based scholarship.
