The Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC) organized an Orientation Program and Discussion session on the “Online Student Satisfaction Survey (SSS)” with the objective of creating awareness among faculty members and stakeholders about the significance of the Student Satisfaction Survey.

The event was held on 12th June 2026, Friday at the academic Council Hall of University building from 11.00 am onwards. The participants were the faculty members of the Schools affiliated to BLDE(DU). The resource persons of the event were
1. Dr. Sumangala M. Patil, IQAC Director, BLDE(DU).
2. Dr. Lata Mullur, External Advisory Member for IQAC.
3. Dr. S. V. Patil, Dean FoAHS, BLDE(DU).

The session commenced with a welcome address by Dr. Sumangala M. Patil, coupled with highlighting the importance of the Student Satisfaction Survey as a key quality indicator in higher education institutions. Dr. Lata Mullur Madam explained about the NAAC Seven Criteria and details of 23 questions on the Student Satisfaction Survey. Dr. S. V. Patil briefed on NCAHP guidelines with a recommendation to include it in the survey. Following the talks by three resource persons, there was a discussion session. And during the discussion, the following points emerged:

  • Need for effective communication to students about the importance of the survey.
  • Ensuring confidentiality and transparency in the feedback process.
  • Encouraging honest and constructive responses from students.
  • Utilizing survey findings for continuous quality improvement.
  • Developing action plans based on feedback received from students.

Participants also deliberated on challenges related to response rates and suggested measures such as orientation sessions, digital awareness campaigns, and departmental follow-ups to enhance participation. The event concluded with a vote of thanks by Dr. Manjula, Deputy Director, IQAC.
