To create awareness about the importance of the Sustainable Development Goals, The Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC) of BLDE (DU) organized a Sensitization Program on Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) on 14th May 2026 from 11.00 AM onwards.
The program aimed to familiarize participants with the 17 Sustainable Development Goals adopted by the United Nations and their relevance in everyday life. The Resource person for the session was Prof. Naveen Desai, Civil Dept, BLDEA’s V. P. Dr. P. G. Halakatti College of Engineering & Technology, Vijayapura.
The Resource person highlighted key areas such as environmental protection, quality education, gender equality, clean energy, health and well-being, and community development. Sir, also explained the importance of individual and collective efforts in achieving sustainability and encouraged participants to adopt eco-friendly and socially responsible practices. The delegates actively participated in the interactive session and shared ideas on promoting sustainable practices on campus and in society. The program created awareness about conserving natural resources, reducing waste, and contributing positively to society.
The initiative successfully raised awareness and motivated participants to support sustainable development activities. The program reflected the institution’s commitment towards quality education, environmental consciousness, and social responsibility.
The program concluded with a vote of thanks delivered by Dr. Manjula. She expressed gratitude to the guest speaker, faculty members and organizers for their active participation and contribution towards the successful conduct of the program.
