The Allied Health Science (AHS) was established to expand the opportunities for higher education in the field of allied health sciences and improve the quality of training of healthcare workers for the benefit of society.

It also planned to improve the quality of the educational programs within the capacity to ensure international standards on quality assurance. The educational programs in Nursing, Medical Laboratory Sciences, Pharmacy, Medical Imaging, Physiotherapy technology, etc., are moving rapidly to meet the nearest phase of Globalization. Traditionally most developing countries look forward to doctors and nurses providing health care, whereas the health care teams are much larger and more diverse than these two categories. Looking beyond the doctors, Health care professionals have become the Health care system. Also, the world is now trying to discuss and address the issues of the severe shortage of healthcare workers globally.
