Counseling, Seat Selection & Admission procedure

The process will begin with counseling followed by seat allotment and admission process on 10th March 2016, for admission to Post Graduate courses for the academic year 2016- 2017, as per the merit list based on results of the Post Graduate Entrance Test of BLDE University, Vijayapura (Bijapur).

Counseling Announcement: The detailed information regarding eligible candidates, seat matrix, counseling schedule, Venue and Reporting time will be announced before counseling, in the University website.

Please Note: The candidates, who have not attended / attended but not opted seat in the First / Further rounds of counseling, are also eligible for the SECOND round and further rounds of counseling, if any.

The candidates who have are successful in getting admission in the previous round counseling are eligible for the SECOND / further counseling rounds, only after surrendering their seat, which will be one day before counseling date. (i.e. before SECOND round / further rounds of counseling)

Documents to be furnished in original at the time of counseling:

  1. BLDEU-PGET-2016 TAT Card
  2. BLDEU-PGET-2016 Rank Card/Call Letter
  3. SSLC/SSC/10th class Certificate or Birth Certificate issued by the competent authority if SSLC/SSC certificate does not contain proof of date of birth
  4. PUC-II or 12th Standard or equivalent marks card
  5. Marks Cards of MBBS course from 1st year to final year including marks cards of failed examinations, if failed
  6. Attempt Certificate
  7. Internship Completion Certificate (if not completed provisional completion letter from Dean / Principal as per APPENDIX – I. Candidate must complete Internship Training on or before 30-04-2016)
  8. Provisional / Permanent Registration certificate from Karnataka Medical Council, Bangalore
  9. Degree Certificate/ Provisional Degree Certificate
  10. Transfer Certificate
  11. Migration Certificate from the University
  12. Conduct and Character Certificate from the Head of the Institute, from where the candidate has studied last or from a responsible person
  13. An affidavit in the format as per APPENDIX – II signed by candidate and countersigned by Parent/Guardian in the presence of Public Notary on a stamp paper of Rs. 100/-
  14. Three recent passport-size colour pictures with name and date
  15. Copy of MCI recognition certificate of the college where the student has completed M.B.B.S
  16. DD’s (of any Nationalized Bank / Scheduled Bank payable at Vijayapura (Bijapur) – 586103, Karnataka) for tuition fees and other fees
  17. Candidate and Parent PAN Card Copy
  18. Candidates claiming Admission under Locomotor disability / SC / ST and OBC (Karnataka state only) as declared by Government of India / Karnataka shall furnish the certificates to that effect issued by the competent authority
  19. Domicile Certificate for Karnataka OBC candidates only as per APPENDIX – III
  20. Five set of self attested photocopies of the above mentioned originals arranged in same order

Note:

  • Failing to produce any of the above mentioned originals documents will disqualify the candidate from counseling and admission process. However, if a candidate has taken admission and submitted original documents with other institutions, before attending BLDEU counseling, the candidate must produce the “Original Acknowledgement Letter” issued by the concerned authority.
  • If selected, the candidate has to give an undertaking on a bond paper of Rs.100/-, that he/she will submit Original Documents within 8 days from the date of admission /or as per the decision of Admission Committee, failing which admission will be cancelled.
  • For any reason, if candidate fails to attend the FIRST COUNSELLING in person, along with requisite Original documents and fees, he/she shall have no claim / right for the counseling and admission, but he/she can attend second / further rounds counseling conducted if any.
  • Candidate must attend with either of his/her parents only. “NO THIRD PERSON WILL BE ALLOWED TO ACCOMPANY”
  • If candidate fail to comply with the requirements he/she will not be allowed to attend the counseling
  • There will be SECOND COUNSELING / further rounds of counseling subject to vacancies
  • It is not compulsory to attend FIRST COUNSELING for attending SECOND Counseling / further rounds of counseling
  • THERE SHALL NOT BE WAITING LIST

Eligibility (as per MCI and UGC regulations)

  1. The candidates seeking admission to these courses should have passed MBBS from a college recognized by Medical Council of India for the award of M.B.B.S Degree.
  2. As per the requisitions of statutory bodies and as laid down by Medical Council of India, in Post Graduate Regulation 2000, the minimum percentage of marks in the entrance test for eligibility for admission to Post Graduate courses shall be 50% for general category, 45% for candidates with 40-70% locomotor disability and 40% for the candidates belonging to Scheduled Caste (SC), Scheduled Tribes (ST) and Other Backward Classes (OBC). The OBC category as declared by Government of Karnataka from time-to-time.
  3. The candidate should have completed the Compulsory Rotating Internship or would be completing by 30th April 2016.

Note: Eligibility criteria changes if any, affected by MCI or any other competent Regulatory Authorities shall be adopted

The candidate has to pay the tuition fees and other fee at the time of allotment of seat, by demand draft drawn in favour of, ‘The Registrar, BLDE University, Vijayapura (Bijapur), payable at Vijayapura (Bijapur)- 586103, Karnataka.

An undertaking by the parents/guardians shall be submitted towards payment of fees for entire period of course in the event of discontinuation of course by the candidate.

Seat selection: The candidates will be allowed to exercise option and to select seat in the order of merit. Counseling is divided into sessions. The candidate will be allowed to participate in accordance with the notified time schedule and stipulated rank ranges only.

The candidates are required to get the documents verified and register themselves in the counter where data is entered into computer. After verification, the BLDE University will retain original documents and photocopies, which will be submitted to the college, at the time of admission. The candidates who do not opt for any seat will receive their originals after counseling.

The presence of candidate is compulsory for counseling, since it involves Biometrics, photo and signature verification. Only one person (parent / guardian) will be permitted to accompany the candidate during counseling.

Candidate who has opted for a seat in first round / further rounds of counseling shall not be eligible for second round / further rounds of counseling unless he/she surrenders the seat, before attending second round / further rounds of counseling.

The presence of candidate is compulsory for counseling, since it involves biometrics, photo and signature verification. Only one person (parent / guardian) will be permitted to accompany the candidate.

Counseling shall comprise the following stages

  1. Reporting of the candidates
  2. Verification and submission of Original documents
  3. Registration of the candidates
  4. Exercising the option of selection of admission as per merit list
  5. Remittance of fees
  6. Issue of Allotment letter
  7. Admission at college office

Grounds of rejection:

  • On verification, if the documents are not found to be genuine and in order, or the same are suspected to be false and the Admission Committee is not convinced about the genuineness of the records submitted at the verification-counter, such candidate/s shall be rejected.
  • If the photographs, fingerprints and signature of the candidates obtained in the process of entrance test, attending entrance test and counseling or admission do not tally, this act shall be deemed as attempt of impersonation due to which the candidate shall be summarily disqualified and legal action will be initiated.
  • Candidate must be physically present and no proxy registration will be accepted. In the absence of candidate any representative claiming to be present on behalf, shall be disqualified from counseling and admission.

Latecomer policy

Any Candidate, who fails to report within the stipulated time for verification at the venue as per the date and time of the schedule for any reason will be considered as a latecomer. He/she will be required to join only in the next session and eligible to be counseled as the first candidate of that session. He/she will be entitled for seats available at that point of counseling. If the candidate is late for last session he/she will be allowed to select seat if available after completion of last session of counseling.

Legal jurisdiction

Any differences and disputes arising from the interpretation and implication of the sections of Brochure will be referred to the Chairman, Admission Committee and his decision shall be final and binding.

The decision of the Admission Committee will be final and binding.

NOTE:

  • The issue of Allotment Letter by BLDE UNIVERSITY is provisional, which enables the candidate to join BLDE University’s Shri. B. M. Patil Medical College, Hospital and Research Centre, Vijayapura (Bijapur) and is subject to his/her meeting all the eligibility requirements as prescribed by MCI as well as BLDE UNIVERSITY, Vijayapura (Bijapur), Karnataka. Hence, all the original documents will be once again verified at the college, before final admission; besides biometric, photo and signature verification, if necessary.

Cancellation and Refund policy

If the student seeks to cancel his/her admission, the refund of tuition fees and deposit paid by the student at the time of admission shall be regulated as follows:

  • If the student cancels the admission before the second round of counseling: i.e. before 21st April 2016, the college shall deduct 5% from the tuition fees paid and refund the balance fees along with entire amount of deposit.
  • If the student cancels the admission after second round of counseling but before 15th May 2016, 5.30 pm, the college shall deduct 20% from the tuition fees paid and refund the balance fees along with the entire deposit.
  • If the student cancels the admission on or after 15th May 2016, and that seat remains vacant the student will have to pay the tuition fee for the entire course. If the seat gets filled up then the same policy as per clause (b) above, will be applicable for refund of the fees.

Refund of the balance amount will be subject to the encashment of the Demand Draft submitted by the candidate.
